Working alongside Electrosonic, Centre Screen have created an inspiring and theatrical 360° immersive installation for the Education Centre. Telling the story of Parliament’s 800 year history to young people in an informative but totally engaging way was the challenge Dr Edge Watchorn, Head of Education set our team. Happily the response from the first school group to visit the centre was overwhelmingly positive.
In the Discovery space there are also virtual recreations of the House of Commons and House of Lords chambers which will allow school parties and students to enact parliamentary debates and witness recreations of key historical events connected to Parliament’s rich history.
The lively, humorous, ever evolving animation style employs a variety of visual techniques including composited re-enactment sequences, 2.5D archive animations and immersive motion infographics. Aimed at school groups and colleges, the experience provides an inspirational and educational experience that demonstrates that Parliament is evolving and relevant to them.
Professor Cox said after watching the experience: “It’s the best I have ever seen.”
