Using our knowledge and experience within the library and archiving sector, MiniScan and BDM bring you the benefits of overhead digital scanning technology at a new affordable price yet with a high specification.

Able to scan in both colour and grey scale, MiniScan features a high quality camera to capture sharp and vibrant images from materials such as books, documents, photos, magazines and much more. Even your most precious and delicate items can be scanned with the overhead design avoiding any unnecessary damage to book pages or spines.

Complete with image adjustment software, scanning with MiniScan is quick and easy. Auto focusing and light adjustment ensure perfect results with switchable in-built LED lights able to provide additional illumination if required. You can then save images in formats such as JPEF, TIFF and PDF while text documents can be converted into a editable format using the included OCR software*.

MiniScan is ready to use with no complex assembly required. Just un-box, install the software, connect using the USB cable (which also powers it) and you are ready to start. As well as scanning, MiniScan can forward images to e-mail accounts, fax machines or to connected printers. You can also use it as a visual presenter when used with a projector and computer.

Already established in libraries and archives across the UK, MiniScan is proving a vital resource in their working environments such as the Christie’s Archives in London:

“The department holds Christie’s sale catalogues dating back to 1766, many are fragile, however the information contained within the bound volumes needs to be sent by email to our colleagues around the globe. The mini-scanner is better than a hand held camera and cheaper than a full-on digital book scanner. So far, so good!”
