The £14.1m redevelopment project created exhibition galleries dedicated to science, technology, art design and fashion, where National Museums Scotland will display their outstanding collections of science and technology, and decorative art, fashion and design.
Following the National Museum of Scotland’s successful £50m redevelopment in 2011, BECK was privileged to be part of the team once again to deliver this prestigious project, undertaking the role of Exhibition Fit-Out Contractor, alongside the design team, Metaphor.

The new galleries are the penultimate phase of the masterplan with £3m now being raised for the next and final phase, which will create two new galleries to showcase internationally important Ancient Egypt and East Asian collections opening in 2018.
