Open to applicants ranging from organisations employing hundreds of people right through to sole traders, the National Lottery Heritage Fund-backed initiative offers support in fields such as fundraising, communications, storytelling, staff wellbeing and financial literacy.

Training sessions are offered in a variety of ways, with a blend of one-to-one tutoring and group work available. Applicants can also take a ‘mix and match’ approach, only participating in strands relevant to their work.

The programme is delivered in partnership with a range of leading industry bodies, including Clore Leadership, Chartered Institute of Fundraising, Media Trust and Creative United.

With the opportunity for those interested in the scheme only open for a few more days, the programme’s organisers are keen to emphasise that the application process is relatively brief and that sessions will not commence until after the summer rush.

“Because we have a range of support options available – small group training, 121 consultancy, or both together – we have been able to support organisations and businesses from across the whole breadth of the heritage sector,” explains Vanessa Moore, Rebuilding Heritage’s engagement officer.

“We know that it’s very hot! But while many sites are preoccupied with coping with changing covid rules we hope people will spend 30 minutes applying now, to set up their ideal support package for the autumn.”
