The events arm of National Museums Liverpool has appointed a new Head of Events Operations and Events Manager to its growing team, following recent financial success.

Adam Keegan joins ‘Hosted by NML’ team as Head of Events Operations, having previously worked for well-known food and drink venues including Maray, Neon Jamon and Lucky Penny Group.

Pete Inman joins as Events Manager and brings more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality sector, having previously cooked for royalty and Prime Ministers.

Inman said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team in my new role as Events Manager, where I will develop a range of events across NML’s seven museums and galleries as well as enhancing the organisations outside catering offer across the Liverpool City Region.”

Last month the National Museums Liverpool (NML)’s events business, ‘Hosted by NML’ reported a record year – creating £1.3m in revenue, and exceeded £1m in annual revenues for the first time after hosting corporate events and filming location bookings for Amazon, the BBC, ITV and Paramount+.

Gareth Nuttall, Head of Sales for Hosted by NML said: “The team hosted 453 events and more than 28000 guests across its seven venues – from a major event for United Utilities and bespoke hospitality for Boodles jewellers, to a maritime evening with celebrity hosts and Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year production.”

“We’ve refined the way we deliver event services for our customers and have big plans for the year ahead.”

Income generated from NML’s events business goes back into supporting the work of the museums and galleries.
