The Fusilier Museum based in Bury, Lancashire has completed a superb £1.4m new development to bring the first floor of the building back into use. The museum is the home to the XX Lancashire Fusiliers and the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers collections.
The vision was to create a new open store to display more of the museums vast collection and a flexible events space, which the museum staff, designers and contractors managed to achieve.
Polstore designed and supplied the museum display cupboards and visual browser drawer storage cabinets with glass inserts for medal storage throughout the first floor. Due to the wide range of items needed, flexibility was built in for hanging garments and objects with each unit having the adaptability to house hanging rails, adjustable shelves and pull out drawers.
