Genus, UK distributor for SMA, is delighted to announce the arrival of the ROBOSCAN series of high resolution large format scanners with automatic page turning facilities. Using the successful SMA ScanMaster series of book scanners as the base for the product, the Roboscan adds automation to page formats not previously seen in the marketplace. Coupled with the renowned true optical resolution of up to 1,200 dpi across the scanning range, the Roboscan series offers high quality digital capture with incredible productivity.

See the ROBOSCAN at the Museums + Heritage show:

The Roboscan will be making its debut in April with demonstrations scheduled throughout the month, culminating in its appearance on Stand M4 at the Museums + Heritage Show at Olympia on the 29-30 April.

Genus will also have the SMA MapMaster A0 large format scanner on the stand for demonstration.

As with all SMA scanners, the products have a number of key advantages designed to assist archival production.

Independent from ambient light – all SMA scanners are designed for operation in any lighting environment, allowing production digitisation regardless of the ambient lighting conditions.

Universal Capture Client– designed to maximize productivity, the powerful UCC tool allows the capture of structured elements during the scanning process with on the fly metadata indexing and a multi-item capture and cropping tool. Multiple documents with one scan? –No problem!

Not attending the Museums and Heritage Show this year? We are currently scheduling demonstrations on the ROBOSCAN and MapMaster throughout April, please email to book a suitable time for testing.
