Having delivered museums across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East, their iconic award-winning portfolio which includes The Box, Hans Christian Andersen Museum and Hintz Hall at the Natural History Museum, has made The Hub a leader for cultural and museum projects. Therefore, their latest appointment as exhibition fit-out contractors for the momentous delivery of the Paisley Museum ensures an unrivalled level of service and knowledge to bring the aims of the museum to life.
On The Hub’s appointment, Kirsty Devine, Project Director, Paisley Museum Reimagined said: “We are delighted that The Hub has been appointed to lead the exhibition fit-out of the Museum. The contract represents a critical milestone in the delivery phase of the project, and we are excited to see the displays being built and installed after all the research and development work over the past five years. The Hub brings with them a wealth of experience and we are looking forward to working with them in the coming months.”
Working collaboratively with Renfrewshire Council, OneRen, Opera Amsterdam, AL_A, Gardiner and Theobald, and Currie and Brown, to create new galleries which showcase the inspirational stories of Paisley and their world-renowned collection of artefacts. Places for learning, exploration and creativity will be developed including:
• Learning Spaces
• Exhibition Galleries that include increased access to the collection
• Immersive Experiences
• Heritage Archive Centre
• Interactive Weaving Studio
Over 18 months, new technologies, sustainable materials, and production methods will create innovative exhibitions that increase access to the collection by 100% and allow visitors to explore and create their own journey through Paisley’s stories and collection. Whilst an extensive programme of activities is offered throughout the project delivery to provide the local communities with opportunities to be involved in the transformation of their local landmark.
