The closing of 2018 saw The Hub awarded with many prestigious projects including the UK’s largest museum exhibition fit-out that has been tendered for in recent years: The Box in Plymouth. This nationally significant project award has showcased The Hub’s ability to deliver exhibitions that exceed client expectations.
The Hub are immensely proud to be part Plymouth’s community growth: recognising the importance of Plymouth City Council’s vision to re-energising the community and local society is something that our entire team are passionate to get behind.
Alongside Plymouth City Council, The Hub are offering work experience placements, apprenticeships, career days and hard hat talks to the local community, providing opportunities to those both in and out of education.
The Hub has also been awarded a variety of significant projects across the UK. They include Stone Age to Corinium at the Corinium Museum, Elizabethan House, Chelmsford Museum and Alban: Britain’s First Saint at St Albans Cathedral.
These exciting new challenges showcase how The Hub has strengthened its position as a leading high-quality specialist fit-out contractor for the Museum, Heritage, Arts and Culture sector.
2018 also saw numerous high profile projects completed by The Hub and its dedicated team of Project Managers, Site Managers, skilled workforce and devoted team of office based staff.
The Hub’s experience of delivering these projects within programme and budget has been the catalyst for the development of The Hub-Heritage: a dedicated thread of the business which weaves neatly within our existing skillset and offers a unique fully integrated service to our clients. Chris Lamb, The Hub’s new Heritage Manager, began his heritage journey as a banker mason before spending many years within the industry supporting clients and project teams deliver outstanding heritage projects. This addition to The Hub compliments the already pragmatic and professional service it provides.
The Hub has also been busy with the growth and development of its CAD department, investing in SolidWorks licenses and a 3D printer. These additions to an already well established team enhance its capability and increases accuracy during design development.
With an expanding dynamic team, The Hub is constantly striving to excel in its specialities: delivering high quality projects and exceeding client expectation.
