The Rose Bowl Stadium is the epitome of a true American national treasure and is a National Historic Landmark. As the proud home of the “Granddaddy of Them All”, the annual New Year’s Day Rose Bowl Game, UCLA Bruins Football, the Americafest Fourth of July celebration, concerts, the World’s Largest Flea Market (R.G. Canning), filmings and other special events, the venue is part of the everyday sports vernacular nationally and internationally.

Built in 1922 and currently the 12th largest stadium in the United States, the Rose Bowl Stadium has earned a world class reputation by hosting five NFL Super Bowl Games, cycling in the 1932 Summer Olympics, the 1984 Olympic football gold medal match, the 1994 FIFA Men’s World Cup Final, the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup Finals, CONCACAF matches to name a few of the major sporting events.
The venue also plays host to major music and entertainment tours each year, including this year’s Super Bowl halftime show performer, Coldplay, who will play the venue in August 2016. Other acts to have graced the historic Rose Bowl surface are U2 (2009), One Direction (2014), The Rolling Stones (1994), Pink Floyd (1994) and more.

Mather & Co will be working with Grant Leisure, which is conducting an economic feasibility study for the potential project at the Rose Bowl Stadium, with the aim being to help realise the unique assets of the stadium and the surrounding area to create a first class visitor attraction.
