The objects can be found on the RIBA National BIM Library which is a free online resource containing common and proprietary BIM objects such as windows, doors, cladding, roofs in IFC (Industry Foundation Class) format and available for use in in software such as Revit, Bentley, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks and Teckla. With over 50,000 users registered to the library, BIM has already had a immense effect on how construction projects are conveyed both in the UK and around the world. The influence of BIM methodologies and 3D modelling will continue to grow.
