The heritage site wanted an EPoS and ticketing cloud-based system which could be used for admissions, the retail gift shop and catering. Like many museums, they want a system that would facilitate gift aid donations. VenposCloud unifies ticketing, retail, gift aid, stock management, and reporting.

The Historic House, East Cliff Hall, is one of the last Victorian houses to be built in England. East Cliff Hall was the home of Merton (1835-1921) and Annie Russell-Cotes (1835-1920). The house was to be a showcase, not simply for their own enjoyment, but also for the people of Bournemouth to whom it was given. The Art Journal acknowledged that “Mr Russell-Cotes has devoted considerable time to the bringing together of probably the most notable collection of modern works of Art in the extreme south of England.” (1895, Art Journal, London: J.S Virtue & Co. Ltd., 83). The house (now a Grade II* Listed Building) reflects Moorish, Japanese and French decorative styles alongside contemporary Victorian design. The interiors provide a context for their extensive collections of artefacts, furnishings, sculpture, and paintings.

VenposCloud, increases the take up of charitable donations by simplifying and speeding up the process at the point of sale. Reconciliation is easy too: simply run a standard report to provide all the information necessary for your submission to HMRC. No more manual reporting and reconciliation!

VenposCloud supports a range of tickets and transactions. Our powerful EPoS systems can process admissions, memberships, retail and catering transactions and group bookings quickly. This leads to reduced waiting times and queues for visitors and allows the venue to operate efficiently.

Megan Thompson, Regional Sales Manager, comments; “Russell Cotes wanted a cloud-based system that was adapted to their business needs. It was crucial for them to have a system which reported on visitor footfall and the average transaction value in their gift shop. Data driven insights from our reporting module will help them make informed decisions. The venue can also assess purchase pattern and visitor behaviour to understand their visitors better. This data can help generate more revenue and cultivate loyal customers who will return and continue to spend money on retail and catering. I believe that our system will help the heritage site to become more efficient and profitable. In addition, our gift aid module will allow them to maximise gift aid donations.“
