AY-PE is a design agency specialising in the creation of exceptional digital experiences which captivate millions of museum and attraction visitors from across the world.

Inspiring People

Passionate about our clients’ messaging, content and visitor outcomes, we design unique AV experiences –  creative, imaginative and responsive to each brief and story. Focussing on ‘people first’, our moving image exhibits engage and entertain – instilling the key stories of an attraction, in the memories and hearts of visitors.

Highly skilled – deeply trusted

Our team is expert in all aspects of creating digital experiences: from filmmaking, soundscaping, projections, apps, AR and animation to 3D/ CGI, touch, gesture & voice interactives, games, explorers and immersive exhibits. With over two decades of relevant experience, our designers are trusted by a diverse range of clients not just to design and create inspirational digital exhibits, but to also manage the flow and narrative across galleries of AV.

Specialist Updates

“We really enjoyed working with AY-PE; they were keen that we worked collaboratively which was really important for us as custodians of such significant heritage in Kirkgate our Victorian street at York Castle Museum.  They’ve created a visually stunning show which we hope will lift everyone’s spirit.”

York Museums Trust

“The digital installations significantly enhance the entire experience on HMS Caroline. From the main AV presentation in the Drill Hall which puts visitors at the heart of the Battle of Jutland – of which Caroline is the sole survivor – to the fun and engaging interactive games in our Signal School, Torpedo School and Dazzle Zone, there is plenty for all ages to enjoy.”

National Museums of the Royal Navy

“It has been a delight to work with AY-PE on this project. Their creativity and the high quality of their work has helped to build an outstanding exhibition space which receives a great deal of positive feedback. They were also brilliant with problem-solving, and working to what became very tight deadlines. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.”
