At Blue Tokay, we use our experience and passion for the natural world to bring you our beautiful, dynamic displays of natural history. We specialise in the production of exhibitions that will inspire your audience to reconnect with nature and keep coming back to your venue to see more. Our aim is to enable our displays to be available for any venue and we do this by being as flexible as we can be with every aspect of our service.

We tour our own displays containing our collections of taxidermy, skeletons, models and interactive components. Our high quality cases, bespoke interpretation and dramatic images provide venues with the whole package. The exhibitions support the school offer since they work with the science curriculum subjects. We also provide worksheets and ideas for events and promotion. Our service includes transport and storage of carrying crates. We are also happy to discuss budget requirements and packages. Please see our website for more details.

Our current exhibitions include: “Snakes… a slither into a secretive life”, “Wild” and “Bare Bones”. “Snakes” received high praise on its debut at World Museum Liverpool in 2014/2015 and was visited by over 200,000 people.

At Blue Tokay we also offer curatorial services. We are working with Alnwick Estates to maintain and conserve their taxidermy collections, carrying out repairs and cleaning but also providing storage solutions for taxidermy. We have also worked with Durham University Museums to relocate and document collections.

Another area of our work includes the design, construction and installation of interpretation and interactives for green spaces. We have worked with the National Trust and Levens Hall to produce interactive elements for their visitors.

Here at Blue Tokay we also provide assistance with permanent displays and collections. We work with venues who commission new pieces of taxidermy for their displays and educational use.

Thanks so much for all your work on the exhibition. It looks great. The specimens in their tableaux are imaginatively done and exquisite and the stunning photographs really complement them.

Phil Philo - Senior Curator Middlesbrough Museums

Steve Judd - Director World Museum Liverpool

Stunningly evocative, the mounted skeletons intrigued visitors of all ages. Blue Tokay are a great company to work with and kept us well informed at all stages from inception to installation and demount.
