About

Iridescence is an experienced UK-based arts and cultural consultancy helping organisations excel, creatively and financially.

What we Do

Iridescence is here to help your organisation become more successful. That might mean expanding your vision, looking at new markets, products or services, developing a new business model, creating a marketing strategy, generating new sources of income and increasing your profitability. Often it’s about helping your organisation through a time of change.

Our experience covers the full spectrum of business planning and related tasks including vision development, strategic planning, market appraisals, feasibility studies, options appraisals, profit and loss budgeting, cash flow forecasts, marketing strategy and organisational reviews. Iridescence’s clients include private companies, local authorities, charitable trusts, community groups and various social enterprises. We also work with commercial developers and funding bodies and have an excellent track record in providing advice leading to successful project development and funding.

A Team of Specialists

We believe in bringing together the very best resource for each individual project, providing senior consultants with ‘real world’ commercial, creative and operational experience who will personally handle every element of the project. We therefore ensure that strategic expertise and detail-consciousness go hand-in-hand.

Iridescence Ltd Director Finella Devitt
is particularly adept at identifying creative and innovative ways in which cultural enterprises can fuse creative agendas with commercial needs.

Finella has a private sector blue-chip marketing background and the solutions she develops for her clients always have an excellent market focus and emphasis on competitive quality. With over 25 years business experience, Finella enjoys helping companies stretch their vision and then develop practical plans and harness the resources they need to deliver that vision. Her approach is entrepreneurial and highly motivational; as one of her clients commented: “Her energy and creativity are infectious for everyone who works with her”. She carefully balances blue-sky thinking with a grounded approach to business development.

Testimonials

“Iridescence Consulting were commissioned to write the post-Covid Business Plan for the Corinium Museum using funds from the Government’s Cultural Recovery Funding.

Finella worked with two other consultants to ensure the team had the breadth of knowledge and expertise to fully address all the Museum’s needs. Finella is a wonderful listener, making sure she fully understands the objectives and works closely with you throughout the project keeping you informed of progress.

The Business Plan has proved a vital document in shaping the Museum strategy and we are already seeing the positive benefits of some of the changes we’ve implemented – thank you Finella!”

Amanda Hart, Director Corinium Museum, Cirencester

“Finella is a very gifted marketeer. Her enthusiasm, energy and creativity are infectious for everyone who works with her. She made an outstanding contribution to the development of Loch Lomond Shores when I was Chairman and she was CEO of the Management Company.”

Derek Reid, Chair Loch Lomond Shores

“Working with Finella Devitt has been a pleasure. She is focused, enthusiastic and totally committed to any task she undertakes. As someone who has dealt with more consultants than most people do in an average lifetime during the redevelopment of CCA, I feel well qualified to comment.”

Graham McKenzie, Director CCA

“Collage Arts won a tender to deliver a range of projects in West London – Finella Devitt was a member of the team that developed the strategy which successfully won the tender.

Finella’s knowledge of the creative and community arts sector and her research skills made a significant contribution in the organisation winning the tender and establishing Collage Arts in West London.

Finella has also contributed her expertise as a consultant to the board of Collage Arts and again her contribution has been invaluable in the growth of the organisation.”

Manoj Ambasna, Chair Collage Arts, London

“Finella came highly recommended from colleagues in Scottish Enterprise, and worked with us to develop a business case for a planned Arts and Cultural Centre.

Finella showed significant flair for engaging with stakeholders, communities, the client team and others, and her work was consistently of the highest quality.

This is someone who clearly understands the needs of major capital funders and how to present a compelling and winning case.”

Joan Riddell, Arts Manager East Dunbartonshire Council
