Purcell is privileged to work with many highly esteemed clients including the British Museum, Historic Royal Palaces, The Wallace Collection, the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Liverpool, the Bristol Aero Collection Trust and the National Mining Museum Scotland.
The practice has 16 regional studios providing local and personalised expertise with the support of our wider network. Each studio offers a start to finish service including planning permissions, funding advice, heritage consultancy, conservation expertise, architectural and interior design and project management.
Our dedicated project team is assigned to work with clients through every stage of a project, from the initial brief to on-site construction. We take an informed approach for all our projects by analysing the condition, historic significance and context of a building or site. Purcell’s in-house team of Heritage Consultants advise clients on how to maximise the heritage value of their buildings and this will inform future development plans.
To help realise our client’s vision, we collaborate with leading interior and interpretation designers, landscape architects and craftspeople to deliver high quality facilities with minimal environmental impact.
Our designers create vibrant, well-designed spaces, tailored to our client aspirations and user’s needs. Many of our projects have won prestigious design and conservation awards including the RIBA Award winning Sammy Ofer Wing at the National Maritime Museum and the Wolverhampton Art Gallery; Tudor House Museum in Southampton, winner of the RICS South East Project of the Year, and Leighton House which won the Europa Nostra Conservation Award.
No matter the size, location or budget of a project, Purcell has the experience and passion to produce inspirational architecture with our exemplary service.
