About

ResourceSpace is easy to use Digital Asset Management software. It’s open source and we’re an employee owned certified B corporation.

The software itself is free and there are thousands of users across the world. We provide the support and work with you to set the system up, configure it to meet your needs and run training sessions with you to make sure you’re comfortable using and managing it.

ResourceSpace relies on metadata so any file you upload is tagged with all the relevant information about that file – making it easy to find later on. There’s no more chaotic local storage to sift through looking for a particular file. The system is web based and can be customised in line with your brand guidelines so it fits in with your organisation perfectly.

You can have as many users as you need and access is easy to control so you can decide who can see what. There are various workflow options so new files can go through an approval process before going live too. We’ll help set all of this up for you. ResourceSpace has a suite of image editing tools removing the need for third party software – and it can convert sizes and formats on the fly as well.

We integrate with various Collection Management Systems including MuseumPlus, TMS and KE EMu and our API can facilitate any bespoke functionality you might need. Our experience supporting museums all over the world with different needs means we’re perfectly positioned to give you advice and help set up the perfect system for you.

You can download a free system here  or if you’d like to get in touch please feel free to book a meeting . You can also follow us on Twitter (twitter.com/resourcespace) or LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/resourcespace).

Testimonials

ResourceSpace has revolutionized the way we find and share our digital assets.

Prior to ResourceSpace, our staff combed through a myriad of possible external hard drives and network locations to potentially find what they were looking for.

Now, assets with rich metadata are available through a simple search anywhere with an internet connection.
