The Visitor Studies Group (VSG) is a dedicated community of Visitor Studies professionals. We promote dialogue, facilitate debate and provide continuing professional development opportunities.
The group was established in 1998 to provide training and support for practitioners working in the relatively new field of Visitor Studies. Today Visitor Studies is acknowledged as having a central role in developing and maintaining a relevant relationship between the institution and the visitor.
The Visitor Studies Group continues to offer high quality training and professional development opportunities to its members with the work underpinned by an ethos of skills-sharing. It is this ethos that makes the VSG unique. We believe that good practice requires investment in those practicing visitor studies and those using visitor studies. Our annual programme addresses each through members’ events and information and resources published on the website.
Membership of the VSG offers events, information and bursaries for both the early career enthusiast and the experienced professional. The VSG is a community of people committed to investing in professional development, debate and dialogue as part of championing the voice of the visitor.
If you’re looking for a network of like-minded colleagues or partnership opportunities, and want to keep up-to-date with the latest practices and principles in evaluation and visitor research, then join the Visitor Studies Group. We offer an annual programme of events, an email network and access to a wide range of visitor studies resources.
