In recognition of the dire situation many cultural organisations find themselves in after months of enforced closure, the Garfield Weston Foundation has decided to provide emergency grants as a “one-off” measure to support the creative industries through this unprecedented time.

Applications are now open and will remain so for just over a month, closing at 5pm on 9th November.

Award deliberations will then be made throughout the remainder of the year, with all applicants being notified of final funding decisions by 31st January 2021.

Are you eligible?

To be considered for support your organisation must:

  • demonstrate a minimum annual income of £500,000 in pre-Covid year
  • be a registered charity, CIO or exempt organisation registered with the Charity Commission and operating within the UK
  • operate within the performing, visual and literary arts (this includes arts centres, independent cinemas, DCMS sponsored museums and galleries, and accredited museums and galleries or those working towards accreditation that are not run by local authorities)
