The government has announced the fourth round of its Museum Estate and Development Fund, with £23.8m to be committed to Arts Council England accredited museums.

Intended to support capital projects, fund urgent repairs, and improve visitor experience, it will make available grants from £50,000 to £5 million.

Expressions of Interest open on Monday 4 March 2024 via Arts Council England. Applicants will be notified of the decision outcome in March 2025.

Since it was launched in 2021, 67 projects have received a total of more than £40m from the Department for Culture, Media & Sport fund which is delivered by Arts Council England.

Round Three sees £22.6m distributed. The 36 recipients in Round Two were announced last year.
