Coventry Moves has been launched with a new website and film, both of which promote the multiculturalism and creative approaches that saw the Midlands city chosen as the UK’s newest City of Culture.

“It’s a major milestone on our journey to be launching the new brand. Coventry Moves has been developed alongside partners and communities across the city following hours of consultation with thousands of people since this adventure began back in 2015,” states Laura McMillan, Coventry City of Culture Trust’s director of operations and legacy.

“Our year as UK City of Culture allows us to tell our city’s story, and use everything that makes Coventry unique to shape its future.”

Caroline Dinenage MP, minister of state for digital and culture, says the “new brand and bold manifesto is an exciting vision of what lies ahead for residents and visitors”. The yearlong programme of events will, she adds, “showcase Coventry’s vibrancy and creativity to the world”.
