This discovery centre is a popular choice with visitors, due in no small part to its goal of presenting technology and scientific concepts to guests in an entertaining, interactive and engaging way.

The centre is designed to be enjoyed by visitors of all ages, who can explore topics such as maths, chemistry, engineering and even food science.

Two-phase installation

The science centre will approach the installation in two phases. Firstly, it will install Gantner’s Recreatex POS software at the reception and also in the restaurant. This will be used for selling tickets, food and merchandise, as well as bookings for the centre’s daily shows.

After the second phase, the Recreatex software will also be used for a full range of transactions including invoicing, ticket sales, stock management, membership management, school and group bookings. Visitors will also have the ability to buy their tickets online before visiting and can purchase or renew memberships online, too. In the future, the system will make it easy for whole groups and schools to make their bookings online.

With Gantner’s Recreatex software, the Luxembourg Science Center will have a user-friendly and intuitive POS and ticketing management solution at hand. The Recreatex platform ensures fast, accurate processing of high volumes of visitors and uses the latest ticketing software to integrate with numerous ticket sales networks.

The software also offers an extensive ‘real-time’ suite of online reports providing a detailed analysis of visitor numbers, exhibition booking numbers, group bookings, membership bookings, direct debit contact information and more.

Gantner will be exhibiting at the IAAPA Europe Expo, on booth #1639 and the Holiday Park and Resort show, on booth #H1560.

Belgian theme park Bobbejaanland recently appointed Gantner as its new ticketing partner. In addition, it has reached an agreement with King Abdullah Economic City on the West Coast of Saudi Arabia.
