Marcon Fit-Out has an enviable track record within the museum/heritage sector. We have been involved with some of the most high profile exhibitions and galleries in the UK and Ireland.

We have delivered and have been responsible for general fit out, exhibition display structures, bespoke joinery and metalwork, graphics production, AV hardware integration, exhibition specific M&E, exhibition specific lighting.

Our in-house joinery manufacturing facility allows us to control the high quality of our bespoke joinery items. We have become a benchmark for a number of clients as to how they judge the quality of joinery work from their contractor base.

“Marcon has a real ‘can-do’ attitude and offer some great ideas. We are using parts of the Plantation exhibition as a benchmark for other fit-out companies and as yet, none have been able to match Marcon’s high standards.”

Andrew Todd Director Tandem

“The quality of Marcon’s work is second to none and their approach is something that’s unique, they can do innovation, they can do exceptional quality finishes. They are a company that you would develop a partnership with and you won’t need to go anywhere else with a company like Marcon”

Noel Molloy Harcout Project Director on Titanic Belfast®

“Marcon’s expertise is evident in the popular and successful Titanic Store and throughout the exhibition at Titanic Belfast®. We congratulate their double awards success, picking up the category winner at the 2013 Museum & Heritage Awards and the Overall winner at the 2013 National Association of Shopfitters Awards.”

Tim Husbands Chief Executive, Titanic Belfast®

“My experience of working with Marcon as a museum/exhibition fit-out contractor has been nothing short of excellent. They have demonstrated top class joinery skills and in many situations where additional services such as electronics, unusual finishes, specialist subcontractors and incorporation of delicate artefacts they adapted each time to over deliver in terms of quality.”

Eddie Girvan, Director G2 Design

Marcon worked with IWM and our exhibition designers Redman, to produce high-quality displays with a close attention to detail. It felt more like a partnership: I was able to relax and leave the team to get on with it, confident that they would make decisions for the good of the final visitor experience, rather than expediency.

Jenny Cousins, Project Leader American Air Museum at IWM Duxford

Marcon were proactive throughout the design development process which greatly benefited the final installed scheme. In particular the interior ‘mini-pier’ mobile interpretation stations and exterior ‘topsy-turvy periscope’ have been a great success.

Daniel Sutton Managing Director, DESIGNMAP (Hastings Pier)

For a project as Seamus Heaney HomePlace we needed to create spaces that were strikingly different to represent the phases of Heaney’s life so the demands on the fit-out were high with many firsts for us. Prototyping and experimenting were key to a successful on-site delivery and Marcon excelled
